What the policy says about quality / defect returns

Under Section 3.A (quality-related returns), for a return made within 14 days the policy states:

"Within 14 Days: Free return or exchange; Tezeus covers all shipping and related costs."

No depreciation fee, processing fee, restocking fee, shipping fee or "warehouse operation fee" is provided for a quality-related return within this window: the policy says the return is free and that Tezeus — not the buyer — bears the shipping and related costs.

Where the fees and the 3 km limit actually come from

The deductions and the mileage limit that Tezeus applied to this case belong to a different category — "personal reason" returns (Section 3.B), not quality returns:

• E-bikes, personal reason, under 3 km: a 15% processing fee plus €300 customer-paid return shipping.
• E-bikes, personal reason, over 3 km: a 30% fee (processing and depreciation) plus €300 shipping.
• The 3 km mileage limit applies only to "personal reason" returns, not to quality returns.

A flat €300 "depreciation fee" and €254.27 of "outbound and return shipping fees plus warehouse operation fees" — the breakdown Tezeus gave on 22 May 2026 — match neither the quality-return rules (which are free) nor the personal-reason rules (15%/30% + €300 shipping). The "warehouse operation fee" appears nowhere in the policy at all.

Why this matters

The return was filed on 26 April 2026 as a quality-related return under Section 3.A, and Tezeus confirmed a full refund in writing on four separate dates. By Tezeus's own published policy, that return should have been a free, full refund with Tezeus covering shipping — not a €554.27 deduction drawn from the personal-reason rules plus a fee that is not in the policy.
